Happy New Year

So I've never been good at New Year's resolutions. I had the cliche ones such as exercise more, eat less, read my Bible more, pray more, etc. etc.. Not that those are bad ideas I just never seem to follow through. In the past few months I have been reading alot of blogs, people I know some I don't. It's something I come to enjoy and some of them really make you think. There are two today I read that I thought were interesting. First this blog is from a pastor in TN, his new year resolution comes from Psalm 39. He wants to be aware that LIFE GOES BY FAST and OUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED. I think this is something I want to do as well. I know that both of these statements are true but do I live my life in a way that shows this. I am not talking about being crazy and doing stupid things but just to live a life to the fullest and make the most of we I am blessed with. Another idea came from here. The challenge is to find ONE word that sums up what you want for your life in 2009. My word is COMMIT. Commit to the decisions and choices I make, commit to learn and grow in my relationships, commit to more of Him and less of me, and I'm sure the list will grow as the year goes by. So that's my thoughts tonight.

Happy New Year!!
